During the holiday season, criminals in upstate New York reportedly attacked Catholics who were attending Christmas masses. They struck at least two church parking lots while the masses were in progress.
Some Catholics who were attending masses at two different churches in Rochester, New York, had the windows of their cars broken, goods were removed from inside their vehicles, and at least one car was stolen.
A number of individuals who were attending the midnight service at St. Marianne Cope Catholic Church were victims of the crooks who were responsible for the incident.
It has been reported by the local news station WHAM 13 that there have been no finds of suspects.
Moreover, on the evening of Christmas Eve, more than a dozen automobiles were broken into, and at least one automobile was taken from the vicinity of St. Joseph’s Church in Penfield, which is another suburb of Rochester.
The parishioners who were the target of the attack parked their automobiles at a nearby elementary school, most likely because of the high number of students who were present.
The authorities have not yet identified any suspects in either of the robberies that occurred at St. Marianne Cope Catholic Church; both instances are still being investigated according to the authorities.
During the early hours of Christmas morning, robbers broke the windows of thirteen vehicles on Park Avenue, which is located close to the downtown area of Rochester. This was yet another Christmas-related attack in Rochester.
