AOC Hammered For Epic Fail While Trying To Appeal To Arabic Voters

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is under fire from Arabic speakers after posting a flyer aimed at gaining Muslim support that was riddled with obvious blunders.

Ocasio-Cortez shared an image of the flyer on her X account, but it wasn’t long before she faced backlash for releasing it with insufficient proofreading. The resulting mockery led her to delete the post.

“Incredible,” commented Tamara Nassar, associate editor at Intifada magazine. “AOC’s team clearly didn’t even bother to consult an Arabic speaker for their flyer targeting Arab Americans. All the letters are disjointed and the words are reversed.”

Another critique noted, “I can read Arabic so this is giving me severe psychic damage but I like to think that people who can’t can at least see how wrong this looks? Like it is very very obviously not how Arabic looks even if you don’t understand the language.”

Meanwhile, fellow squad member Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) blasted CNN for airing a segment where a panelist made an offensive comment towards Muslim journalist Mehdi Hasan.

“CNN has played a central role in normalizing this kind of open anti-Arab, anti-Muslim, and anti-Palestinian hate, and it’s sadly totally unsurprising to see such disgusting statements aired so casually on its network now,” Tlaib wrote on X, alongside a clip of the segment.

The incident occurred during Abby Phillip’s prime-time show, where panelist Ryan Girdusky clashed with Hasan over comments made at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally.

“I hope your beeper doesn’t go off,” Girdusky told Hasan, a clear jab at the pager bomb detonations in Lebanon earlier this year that resulted in several deaths and thousands of injuries.

“Did you just say I should die? Did you just say I should be killed live on CNN?” Hasan retorted.

“Ryan, that is completely out of pocket,” Phillip interjected, attempting to regain control of the conversation.

After a commercial break, Girdusky was no longer on the panel, and Phillip denounced the remark.

CNN released a statement saying Girdusky would not be invited back. “There is zero room for racism or bigotry at CNN or on our air,” the statement asserted. “We aim to foster thoughtful conversations and debate including between people who profoundly disagree with each other in order to explore mutual understanding. But we will not allow guests to be demeaned or for the line of civility to be crossed.”
