Billionaire Elon Musk is accusing the “legacy mainstream media” of attempting to incite individuals to assassinate him and former President Donald Trump.

Musk has been actively advocating for the Republican nominee in recent months and has recently committed to providing $1 million per day to registered voters who sign a petition in support of a pro-Trump PAC.

On Sunday, Musk participated in an event in Pennsylvania with Republican Senate candidate David McCormick.

During the event, Musk presented a $1 million check to a woman in the audience who was randomly selected. Musk also asserted that his political involvement places him at risk of assassination during the town hall speech.

“So, dramatically increasing my risk of being assassinated and engaging in politics are not what I want to do. I do not have a death wish, but the stakes are so high that I really feel I have no choice but to do it, and that’s that’s the reason.” Musk said.

Musk also took the same claim to social media, where he posted: “With their relentless hit pieces, legacy mainstream media are actively encouraging the assassination of @realDonaldTrump and now me,”
