According to new survey results released on Friday by The Hill and Emerson College Polling, the Senate race in Florida is currently at a dead contest between Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) and former Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (D-Fla.).

Scott is currently leading Mucarsel-Powell by 46 percent to 45 percent among likely Florida voters, which is well within the survey’s plus or minus 3.4 point margin of error.

Nine percent of electors expressed uncertainty regarding their decision.

47 percent of independent electors declared their support for Mucarsel-Powell, 34 percent for Scott, and 19 percent were undecided.

Scott is ahead of Mucarsel-Powell by 5 points among female voters, while Scott is ahead of Mucarsel-Powell by 8 points among male voters.

The poll also revealed that Mucarsel-Powell was ahead of Scott by 6 points among the state’s Hispanic vote, while Scott was ahead of Mucarsel-Powell by 19 points among Caucasian voters.

Last month, a poll conducted by Florida Atlantic University revealed that Scott was leading Mucarsel-Powell by 47 percent to 43 percent among likely voters.

Similarly, a poll conducted by the University of North Florida last month indicated the same margin.

Florida has become a state that is firmly red in the past decade, as Republicans have made significant inroads.

In the 2022 election cycle, the party achieved victories throughout the state, despite the fact that Republicans in other regions of the country underperformed.

The Hill/Emerson College Polling survey was conducted from September 3 to 5 among 815 likely Florida voters. The margin of error is 3.4 points.
