During an appearance on MSNBC, Governor Andy Beshear (D-KY) suggested that Senator JD Vance (R-OH) should “go through” the anguish of witnessing a family member become pregnant as a result of a rape. Vance responded by pushing back.

In an interview with “Morning Joe” anchor Mika Brzezinski, Beshear, who during his speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Monday, emphasized Vice President Kamala Harris’ advocacy for abortion access, spoke about the matter.

He reacted angrily to Vance, who is presently running for vice president alongside former President Donald Trump, in response to his pro-life remarks during their conversation.

“I mean, think about what people have had to go through because of these laws,” Beshear said.

“I mean, JD Vance calls pregnancy resulting from rape ‘inconvenient,’” he continued. “Inconvenience is traffic. I mean, you know — make him go through it.” he added.
