Lawrence Jones, the co-host of Fox & Friends, criticized the speeches delivered by Barack Obama and Michelle Obama at the Democratic National Convention, contending that the duo attempted to promote “BS dipped in gold.”

On Wednesday, O’Donnell contended that the Democratic Party appeared to have a greater regard for the Obamas than for President Joe Biden.

He also criticized the Obamas for promoting a message of hope and compared it to Donald Trump’s campaign.

Michelle Obama stated that she had experienced a period of increasing hopelessness regarding the nation’s current state; however, according to her she no longer feels that way since the rise of Vice President Kamala Harris.

Jones contended that inflationary challenges are the real reason regular people are currently feeling hopeless.

“I think there is something to that hopelessness, but the American people aren’t hopeless because of Donald Trump. I think that’s where they’re missing the mark. No matter how inspirational they are, no matter how good the cadence is on the stage, you can’t dip BS in gold and expect the American people to buy it.” he said.

“Donald Trump hasn’t been in charge the last four years, you think people are hopeless because of him? Maybe it’s because when they go to the grocery store, the prices are out of control, maybe it’s because they thought their kids would have access to the American dream, but unfortunately they’re not able buy a house and they now have to take care of their kids.” Jones concluded.
