The Democratic National Committee has now reportedly released a brand new platform ahead of its convention this week in Chicago.
However, it appears that, in spite of Vice-President Harris being nominated as the party’s standard bearer the new platform is in fact full of references to President Joe Biden’s ‘second term.’
The reasons for this aren’t yet fully clear.
The official DNC platform has been released and it makes at least five mentions of “Biden’s second term.”

President Biden decided earlier this summer not to pursue his re-election campaign in the wake of a disastrous June debate performance after which members of his own party worked to pressure him into ending his campaign.
In the wake of Biden’s decision not to run it was then quickly decided by the Democrat party’s higher ups that Vice-President Harris would take his place at the top of the ticket.
