President Joe Biden is reportedly apparently still angry after being forced to quit his re-election campaign, with his ire directed at three of the party’s most powerful figures: former President Barack Obama, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
Despite preparing to speak at a convention in Chicago aimed at rebuilding the party, Biden remains disappointed and upset with the men and woman who orchestrated his removal.
The main target of his displeasure is Pelosi, whom Biden perceives as cutthroat and prepared to lay aside long-term connections in her determination to prevent former President Donald Trump from retaking the White House.
While another administration official stated that Biden has “grudgingly” come to respect Pelosi’s efforts, the betrayal still appears to sting.
The Biden-Obama friendship has also been strained since Biden’s withdrawal from the campaign.
Biden apparently harbors resentment that his former boss did not immediately address worries about his campaign during a dismal debate in Atlanta.
As the Democratic convention begins, the party’s scars remain fresh, prompting many to wonder how united the Democrats will be moving into the November elections.
