WWE legend Hulk Hogan addressed Americans on the fourth night of the Republican National Convention, saying it was time for him to speak out in support of former President Donald Trump.
The retired professional wrestler was greeted by delegates chanting “USA, USA” as he prepared to speak about the man he dubbed a “hero,” Donald Trump, on Thursday night.
“You know I got tired of remaining silent. I sat back and watched the borders collapse. I watched the economy collapse. I watched the price of gas, the price of food, everything do just an upside down flip.” Hogan continued.
“And when they took a shot at my hero, Donald Trump, I realized that I couldn’t be silent any more! You know I had to step up and be a real American, all these Americans here, Donald Trump. I have a voice, too, and I want everyone to know it’s time to talk, it’s time not to be silent anymore,”he added.
Earlier in the day, the wrestling champion told Fox News’ Brett Baier that he couldn’t wait to speak to the delegates as he reflected on Trump’s assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where firefighter Corey Comperatore was killed and two others were injured, in addition to the former president.
