Former President Donald Trump revealed the death of renowned cable news personality Lou Dobbs on Thursday. Dobbs first gained notoriety on CNN before moving on to Fox Business. He was 78 years old.

When CNN was launched in 1980, Dobbs worked as a reporter and host covering business. He moved to Fox Business in 2011 and aired the highly regarded program Lou Dobbs Tonight there until it was canceled in 2021, during which time Trump was elected president.
