A man has now reportedly been shot by police in the area outside the republican convention.
The suspect, a black male believed to be in his early 20s, was reportedly armed with knives. Officers have performed CPR.

The Columbus officers are reportedly in Milwaukee to help provide security for the RNC convention.
His current condition and the circumstances of the shooting remain unknown.
