According to Democrat strategist James Carville, the party is now facing a significant challenge with young people, particularly young men, as the November elections approach.

During his podcast “Carville’s Classroom,” Carville discussed the challenges that Democrats are currently encountering under President Joe Biden’s leadership.

According to recent polls, Democrats have experienced a significant decline in support from black voters, Latino voters, and young voters compared to their standing in 2020.

“I’ve been very vocal about this. It’s horrifying, our numbers among younger voters, particularly younger blacks and younger Latinos and whatever, younger people of color. Particularly males. We’re not shedding them, they’re leaving in droves.” Carville said.

Carville then proceeded to elaborate on a compelling message that would resonate with those voters.

According to Carville, Democrats should make an effort to raise concerns among young voters, discouraging them from supporting Trump.

“If we don’t take time to understand their lives, they think all politics is just a bunch of bullsh*t, people arguing back and forth” Carville stated.

“And we have to explain that. We’re not going to convince under 35s that we can build a great country for you… I don’t think they’re going to buy that. Try if you want to, but I don’t think we’re going to appeal to the better angels of their natures. Because of complicated economic forces, they don’t feel like their future is secure in the United States. And it may not be.” he continued.
