Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) showered President Joe Biden with slobbering praise over his positions on foreign policy during his State of the Union address on Thursday, praising the president for doing a good job.
Biden argued for a hyper-aggressive, and potentially reckless approach to many of the current foreign policy problems faced by United States.
“I just got back from listening to the State of the Union address by President Biden. I think on foreign policy, he did a good job. It is very much in America’s interests to see Ukraine push back against Putin. Putin is a awful guy, a bad guy.” Romney said in a social media post.
“He also spoke, I thought, well with regards to Israel and also with regards to the need to help the Palestinian individuals in Gaza with humanitarian aid. So those things I thought went well.” he continued.

Nevertheless, the senator proceeded to critique the remainder of Biden’s speech, which included his criticisms of Republicans.
When he got into domestic policy, I’m afraid it was the same old liberal playbook, at least that’s the way I saw it. I mean, there was some new chapters, but the same idea, which is, “Here’s some things I’m gonna give you, here’s some more things I’m gonna give you, here’s why I’m gonna crack down on big companies and rich people,” and I think people have gotten tired of that.” Romney said.
“They know he can’t deliver all those promises because any promise he makes has to get Republican votes and he’s not gonna get Republican votes for those things. And I think they also know that the cheap shots on Republicans are probably missing the mark.” he concluded.
