After he unexpectedly appeared on Capitol Hill to confront the House Oversight Committee’s resolution to hold him in contempt of Congress, Hunter Biden was hit with an onslaught of inquiries from members of Congress and reporters.
Wednesday at the committee meeting, the son of President Joe Biden was present to hear his contempt resolution.
Hunter’s alleged contempt arises from his noncompliance with the subpoena issued by the committee, which sought to legally bind him to provide testimony.
Hunter demanded at a recent news conference held in front of the United States Capitol that he be permitted to testify in an open hearing as opposed to behind closed doors.

While traversing the corridors of the Capitol en route to the hearing, Hunter encountered an onslaught of journalists who bombarded him with inquiries.
The hearing descended into complete chaos almost immediately, as committee members argued amongst themselves regarding the Biden investigation.
The Democrats urged their Republican counterparts to grant Hunter an opportunity to address the committee, but they declined.
Hunter’s quickly departed from the hearing just as Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-) was about to speak.
