The House GOP is now moving to hold Hunter Biden in contempt of congress after he refused to show for a hearing before the House.

It would be the first attempt by House Republicans this Congress to hold a witness in contempt in order to enforce one of the subpoenas.

Wednesday, the House will also vote to formally initiate an impeachment investigation in an effort to bolster their position in judicial battles.

Wednesday, Biden reiterated his demand that he testify at a public hearing of the House Oversight Committee as opposed to a private deposition, in a rare in-person statement issued outside the Senate.

“Republicans do not want an open process where Americans can see their tactics, expose their baseless inquiry or hear what I have to say. What are they afraid of? I’m here. I’m ready.” Hunter said.
