State Senator From North Dakota Charged for Engaging in Sex With Minor

Raymon Everett Holmberg, also known as Sean Evans, was indicted by a federal grand jury for child sex tourism and receipt of child pornography.

Former Republican North Dakota State Senator Holmberg, 79, of Grand Forks, ND, was indicted on October 26, 2023, in the U.S. District Court for the District of North Dakota. Holmberg made his initial appearance and arraignment today.

In response to the charges in the indictment, Holmberg issued a not guilty plea, and December 5, 2023 has been set aside for the first trial.

According to the indictment, Holmberg frequently went from North Dakota to Prague, Czech Republic, between June 2011 and November 2016, allegedly with the intention of performing commercial sex acts, or “Child Sex Tourism,” with an underage partner.

Additionally, it claims that Holmberg sought to receive and received child pornography showing a juvenile participating in sexually explicit behavior between November 24, 2012, and March 4, 2013.
