Josh Kruger, a Philadelphia-based socialist journalist and activist, was shot and died inside his house on Monday. Kruger has a long history of trivializing violent crime in the city and even openly making fun of those who voiced worries about homicides there.

Around 1:30 am on Monday, the 39-year-old Kruger was shot seven times at a house in the 2300 block of Watkins Street.

In relation to the incident, no one has been taken into custody.

Kruger was well-known for holding outright far-left political beliefs and for being passionately opposed to any that did not coincide with his own.

Additionally, Kruger had a history of opposing the police.

Additionally, he was vehemently opposed to former president Donald Trump. Kruger asserted that Trump’s election as president was only possible due of “racism.”
