According to new meeting notes recently provided to Congress, shortly after taking office in January 2021, President Joe Biden’s administration reportedly put pressure on Facebook to limit the conservative news site The Daily Wire’s influence on the platform and increase the reach of legacy media outlets.
According to papers, Facebook reportedly told the White House on many occasions that it was attempting to re-engineer its platform in order to comply with the administration’s orders to remove information that went against its aim for the COVID vaccination.
The meeting notes describe conversations then-White House Digital Director Rob Flaherty had with Facebook executives in 2021 during which the Biden aide pressed the Big Tech firm to censor content about COVID vaccines in order to uphold the administration’s policy objectives.
At one point in the conversation, Flaherty expressed frustration that Facebook was unable to give the White House any of the information it required and demanded that it “play ball.”
The head of the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), also provided details on the Biden administration’s cooperation with Facebook.
But that’s not all.
The Biden White House wanted to control what you saw on Facebook.

Jordan has been disclosing details on the measures taken by the Biden administration to get Facebook to restrict Americans for months as part of an investigation undertaken by the House GOP.
