According to the United Nations Command, which is in charge of managing activities on the Korean Peninsula, a U.S. citizen is reportedly said to have been detained by North Korean officials on Tuesday after allegedly crossing the Military Demarcation Line into the nation while touring the Joint Security Area.
The individual is a U.S. Army soldier who has not been officially named.
