Oliver Darcy, a CNN media reporter, is reported to have allegedly thought about leaving the network after CEO Chris Licht chastised him for his coverage of the network’s divisive town hall with former President Trump.
Following his depressing coverage of the town hall, Licht and other top CNN execs called Darcy in for a meeting last week.
Fox News Digital earlier reported that a person familiar with Licht’s views said that he chastised Darcy for getting overly emotional.
It’s unclear if Darcy received any kind of notification that his position is under danger.
No one was more openly skeptical of how CNN handled the Trump town hall than the network’s own senior media reporter, @oliverdarcy.
And according to @DylanByers, his bosses didn’t like that. At all. https://t.co/XQJP0oK350 pic.twitter.com/7bQPqv4r09

Since former “Reliable Sources” anchor Brian Stelter was let go last year, Darcy has taken over as the newsletter’s lone author.
Darcy penned Trump lied during the town hall despite attempts by CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins to fact-check him on many issues.
Darcy began his career in conservative media, but in his current position at CNN, he has evolved into one of its most vociferous detractors.
