An suspected Chinese Communist Party (CCP) operative who was detained by the FBI on Monday was reportedly seen dining and campaigning with a number of prominent New York Democrats according to a new report from The Daily Caller.
According to numerous Chinese-language news reports and photographic evidence, Lu Jianwang, who the FBI detained on Monday for attempting to act as an agent of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), is seen with New York City Mayor Eric Adams and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and even attended what appears to have been a fundraiser for New York Democratic Rep. Grace Meng.
According to reports, Lu managed a police station overseas for the Chinese government.
According to several images from occasions in New York City, Lu Jianwang had encounters with Meng, Adams, and Schumer in 2022 and 2023.
Photos from CareerEngine.US, a Chinese-language news website, show Lu participating at a fundraiser for Rep. Meng’s congressional campaign on April 24, 2022, in Flushing, New York.
The Crown One Restaurant hosted an event on that particular day, according to campaign finance records, and photographs of the venue correspond to those on CareerEngine.US.
According to the article, which included a picture of Meng and Lu standing side by side, Lu Jianwang went to the fundraiser in April 2022.
During occasions like the anniversary festivities for the America Changle Association, Lu Jianwang has had several meetings with New York Democratic Mayor Eric Adams.
In 2019 and 2021, Lu Jianshun, who had taken under the identity “James Lu,” directly contributed $4,000 to Adams’ mayoral campaign.
In addition, the report and a photo that is provided show Lu Jianshun, the current chairman of the America Changle Association, seated at a table with a number of men, attending the April 2022 event.
According to a report from Safeguard Defenders, a human rights organization that first exposed Beijing’s international police network in September, America Changle Association allegedly served as an outpost for an overseas Chinese police station connected to an international Chinese police unit known as 110 Overseas, which is headquartered in China’s Fujian province, before the FBI raid.
The issue of secret Chinese police stations located throughout the United States has become a major scandal for the Biden administration in recent months.
