Kildee made the announcement in a statement that he released on Friday that he was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in his tonsil.
Kildee stated that he would be undergoing surgery in the upcoming weeks to remove the cancer, and that the prognosis following surgery and therapy is good.
