Democrat congresswoman Angie Craig was reportedly assaulted Thursday in Washington D.C. while in the elevator of her apartment building.
The story was confirmed by Chief of Staff.

Craig is a Democratic representative serving in the U.S. House of Representatives for Minnesota’s 2nd congressional district. She has been serving in this role since 2019.
In 2016, Craig decided to run for the U.S. House of Representatives in Minnesota’s 2nd congressional district. However Craig was ultimately defeated.
However Craig ran again in 2018 and this prevailed in her race.
Since taking office Craig has staked out liberal positions on a host of different issues.\
Craig is also a member of the LGBT community and has four sons she shares with her wife Cheryl Greene.
