A new poll has now shown that a majority of Americans of all political stripe now agree that the Justice Department should look into Hunter Biden’s business contacts with foreign countries.
Voters’ sentiments have not altered as a result of recent allegations regarding social media firms stifling the narrative in the run-up to the 2020 election.
The most recent Fox News Poll, which was released on Thursday, revealed a number of issues with social media businesses among voters along with a general decline in Twitter’s favorability ratings in particular.
The Justice Department should look into the younger Biden’s financial contacts with foreign countries, according to nearly three-quarters of respondents reached for the survey (72%) – a similar percentage to the 72% who said the same thing in August.
Republicans (88%), independents (74%), and Democrats (54%) agreed with the statement.
However, voters with different political loyalties tend to disagree on what the results of the investigations into Hunter Biden’s behavior will show.
Republicans tend to believe that President Biden broke the law in connection with his son’s actions (63%) and that Hunter Biden broke the law in his commercial connections with China and the Ukraine (70%).
While only one in ten Democrats, in contrast, believe Joe or Hunter Biden committed any sort of crime at all.
Overall, 39% of respondents feel Hunter Biden broke the law, while 31% say they believe he acted unethically but not illegally, and another 19% were unconvinced that he did anything substantially wrong.
Similar percentages apply to to questions pertaining to President Biden.
Only 35% believe the elder Biden broke the law, 27% believe he acted unethically but not criminally, and 31% believe he did nothing wrong.
Hunter Biden has been the subject of an ongoing investigation by the FBI since his father took office in 2021.
In addition the subject of Hunter Biden has draw even more attention than normal over the past few weeks following the disclosure of internal Twitter papers showing that the social media site had buried articles concerning material discovered on Hunter Biden’s laptop before to the 2020 presidential election.
