Fox Host Brian Kilmeade was having none of John Kirby’s pro-Biden administration spin when he appeared on ‘Fox and Friends’ and attempted to defend the Administration’s shambolic retreat from Afghanistan.
Brian Kilmeade made it obvious that he wasn’t buying the propaganda.
Kirby, who previously served as the Pentagon’s press secretary and is now the National Security Council’s coordinator for strategic communications, tried to argue that the Afghanistan withdrawal was so successful and well-executed that it likely caused China and Russia to actually be impressed by it.
‘Fox and Friends’ co-host Ainsley Earhardt began the discussion by asking Kirby if America’s foreign enemies may have seen the shambolic withdrawal from Afghanistan as a sign of weakness on the Biden Administration’s part.
“No, I do not. And I don’t know that that’s the Pentagon’s assessment that it was a propaganda gift to China.” Kirby exclaimed.
“If anything, nations like China and Russia took a look at what we did in Afghanistan, and we’ve talked about this many many times over the last year, and had to marvel at the speed, the efficiency, and effectiveness that a very small number —” he continued.
“Oh, please,” Kilmeade interjected in response.
“— A very small number of troops, Brian, you listen to me now, hear me out. A small number of troops were able to move that many Afghans safely out of that country. No other nation in the world can do that.” Kirby responded.
Fox News: “the Defense Department’s annual report…is saying that Biden’s fumbled withdrawal from Afghanistan was a propaganda gift to China.”
