Tennessee Republican Governor Bill Lee is now demanding an investigation into the Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s (VUMC) Pediatric Transgender Clinic after a series of disturbing recordings obtained by the conservative commentator Matt Walsh revealed a doctor’s advocacy of transgender surgery for children, which was described as a “big money maker”. Walsh’s recordings also revealed potential threats made against VUMC medical professionals if they dared to disagree with the treatments, even on religious grounds.
“The ‘pediatric transgender clinic’ at Vanderbilt University Medical Center raises serious moral, ethical and legal concerns,” Lee noted in a statement to Walsh’s employer The Daily Wire. Lee continued “We should not allow permanent, life-altering decisions that hurt children or policies that suppress religious liberties, all for the purpose of financial gain. We have to protect Tennessee children, and this warrants a thorough investigation.”
Lee’s comments follow a detailed thread that Walsh posted to Twitter on the dystopian practices of the medical center:

The medical institution also provides information about transgender operations and therapies for kids.

So, let’s review. Vanderbilt got into the gender transition game admittedly in large part because it is very financially profitable. They then threatened any staff members who objected, and enlisted a gang of trans activists to act as surveillance in order to force compliance.
